Do not believe everything you read about the fit/finish issues with the Marlins. Maybe some of the early models were plagued but I believe the kinks have been worked out. I just picked up my 1895SBL after waiting almost a year and checking the Bass Pro website daily for it to come back in stock. Not only am I thrilled to finally have it, but the gun looks awesome and from everything I can tell, functions properly. The sights are aligned and the fit is perfect. If you have been searching high and low and want to purchase through Bass Pro, it is going to take time and patience. Be diligent and check every morning for updated inventory. You will eventually get lucky. I highly recommend this rifle and you will be happy with the wait once you finally get your hands on one. Good luck!

I have had this gun little over a year now and have put right around 100 rounds through it flawlessly. It is a tack driver. Love the sights and finish of the gun. Mega Arms shops went out of there way to sell me this gun, when someone else ordered it and did not pick it up.

This is the pinnacle of lever actions. Bucking up for the stainless was well worth it. This gun turns heads at the range! Action is smooth. Cleaning is simple. Ghost ring sights are perfect right from the factory. The Pic rail is a great addition and sets it apart from the Henry. I threw a 4-12×40 Vortex scope on it. Lots of pros to this gun. Only con is, 45-70 ammunition is costly at the range. I think I will recommend a few of my friends to order a piece. Thank you.

I love this gun.. action is smooth and finish is great..sights are straight and accurate. Havent fired alot but no problem popping pop cans with open sights at 50 yards with the first box of Hornady 325grain shells.Great Customer Serive.Will be back.Thank you guys.

My Order arrived faster than I expected, I have been waiting to pull the trigger on this purchase. It arrived yesterday and fired it today. With 325 Hornady loads and just the ghost sights, I was double holing shots at 50 & 100 yards. This gun is so sweet. Just a sheer bad to the bone rifle. I hunt big woods with some thick cover – super pumped up to take it for a walk. It was the last one Bass Pro had in stock and they held it for me. It was a quality experience all around. Thank you Mega Arms,When I ordered this gun I bought some Hornady FTX 325gr. Loads. Went to the range to sight it in and the first shot was 1.5” high at 50 yds through the ghost ring site. Next three shots were within two inches of the first and I never had to touch the sites. This was my first time shooting through Ghostring/ peep sites and I found it to be a decent site system. Using the Hornady loads I leveled the gun at the 100yd 10” gong and fired… it flew back and gave a resounding bang! I am impressed with this rifle. Without having to touch the sites it is accurate enough to kill or scare a marauding bear at 100 yds or take down a nice bull moose. Very impressed with everything about this rifle; the only thing that I would change is it would have been nice if the white line on the front site blade was nitrium/ glow in the dark.
